Kanda Poha

Poha also known as flattened rice flakes is the key ingredient in this Indian recipe. Use thick texture poha.

Ingredient

Soak rice flakes in water. Once softened, toss them with turmeric.

Step 1

Heat oil in a kadhai. Fry the potatoes till they are fully cooked and crispy. Transfer to a bowl.

Step 2

Heat oil. Add cumin and mustard seeds. Once they start spluttering, add peanuts, green chilli, and curry leaves. Fry for 1 – 2 minutes.

Step 3

Next add onion and fry until they turn translucent. No need to brown the onion.

Step 4

Add the soaked poha to the kadhai along with fried potato, salt and sugar. Gently toss it.

Step 5

Now, add lemon juice, and chopped coriander leaves. Turn off the heat.

Step 6

Kanda Poha is ready to serve.
